The Great Nasca Bird
The great bird of Nasca is apparently part of both the Northern Cross and the Southern Cross which can be seen in Peru due to the high mountainous location. It would indicate that it is the constellation Northern Cross. which is also part of Cygnus. The star, X-1, thought to have been a nova, is in the middle of the beak in Maya glyphic descriptions of the skies. The Northern Cross is part of this constellation and the same star appears between the cross bars at the top to the right. This would indicate that URI star of the Hawaiians, the source of the Rainbow serpent. of the world mythology base is a different star altogether, since the long end of the Northern Cross is also the beak of the bird. The upper right hypothenuse is the actual location of the Nova that carried the flaming egg (meteorite) to earth. There may be a different explanation to this difference. It might be the trajectory of the comet from the upper right arm to the lower end of the Northern Cross or the Beak of Cygnus. Continuing in this direction, it probably ended up in the Heart of Scorpio.
Since this bird has great hands, we must look to another bird figure with wing feathers which are actually fingers) in Izapa, Chiapas, Mexico (Mayaland) on Stela 2.
.
At this point, it is not difficult to connect the two birds to the above descriptions. Other descriptions are the birdman on top of the cave at Guerrero, and naturally, the Quetzalcoatl bird of iridescent greens, with a torch in one hand and sycthe in the other. The problem as I see it, is that we are looking for exact representations of any recognizable cultural artifact when found in a foreign land. One must also take into account that the art style will eventually become that of the foreign culture.. We may be looking at the final art work in many cases.
