The "Bent Earth" Glyph

Maya glyphs from A: Naranjo Heiroglyphic Stairway 1; and B: Caracol B-16 Stucco imply a "bent earth" event that is called a jub'uy attack.

The Biblical Psalms say "The mountains skipped like rams, the hills, like lambs." With such movement, it would be indicated as an 8 on the Richter scale. Such an earthquake will not only topple buildings, but also twist steel, and open cracks in the land.

Steel railroad tracks twist out of place as easily as butter. Aerial photos of such an earthquake shows great fractures in the roads.

Yet, because these are only fragments of a glyphic stairway, no one wishes to read the glyphs that show "twisted earth" forms. An earthquake or Huemac opening up a mountain top are the only definitions possible when this type glyph is recognized as an "event." We really must look to the earth, sea, and sky for "events" and not always "warriors doing battle for puny earthly supremacy."
