Star Grid Buildings
Star grid buildings appear in the Mixtec codices with no explanation given. The roofs have star circles or they have grids. Within these temples are ancestor bundles that have the appearance of eggs. Some have fire boxes on top of the bundles. Thus, the implication is that the egg or
ancestor brought fire with them.
