Line 2

Line two contains Twelve Rabbit as the year element with Two Deer. What follows is interesting. A double stone scroll over a rat bone, over a headless, armless person with an ax head in the buttocks sitting on a mountain. This personage with a serpent fore and aft, appears with the Tlaloc woman in the last column of this page. Its head and arms appear later as plant forms.

The year Five Reed and Seven Malinali, point the way to the double scroll over a mountain valley filled with dragon's teeth (Shades of Cadmus!) and another filled with bundled reeds. The line ends with Xolotl, or a fire-browed dog in a temple.
