Star Muffins

Ask any Texan what a "Meadow Muffin" is and he or she will be very happy to tell you that it is cattle droppings. It is for this reason that I have named this temple set "Star Muffins." Ask any other person what "Bull Feathers" are and they will answer the same. The Aztecs and Maya used the word "feathers" to indicate "fire." This is a strange because in more primitive parts of the world, cattle droppings are indeed used for fuel.

But why "Star Muffins" when these temple forms have already been identified as cacao beans? I was fortunate to have been in Tapachula where cacao trees grew in the patio of the school where I taught. Cacao beans are NOT the shape of tear drops. They are more the shape of large lima beans covered with an edible white gel. However, "caca" ("excrement" for those who are not familiar with the word "caca") does at times fall in tear-drop shapes. Deer and horses, however, usually drop pellets.

While drawing out the forms, I found that the face on the mountain almost hid two stars on the left side. Many myths around the world, including those of the Meso-Americans, tell about the twins, one of which fell to the earth and the other which continued to circle the heavens. Several of the "cacao beans" in and on top of the temples had deer antlers, others showed fire. And, of course, one of the temples had the ancestor bundle, which I call the "egg." Here, I had three items: excrement, deer, and stars.

The Mixtec were known as the "People of the Deer." But what deer was stellar? Checking through various star atlases, I found that Praja-pati of India was an antlered sky god. Praja-pati was another name for Orion. So we have a antlered star form from which regularly fall meteorites called the Orionides. Did one hit the side of the mountain? It appears that this mountain without a name was the landing place of a meteorite which came from the Orionides, or other small meteorites which happened to fall through the atmosphere at the same time.

I suggest that these temples were built for the "Star Muffins" (Star Caca) that fell from the direction of the Orionides. The excrement of the gods was not only gold and silver, but also stellar debris such as meteorites.
