Register III, p. 17 starts with 12 Sweatbath, and a 5 Rain entity called Falling White Eagle. The falling element is a footprint from a star band.
Caso claims this is a second son, the first being 5 Reed from Register IV-17. Next, a daughter, 11 Reed (Belt of Jewels and Flowers or War of Flowers) is born.
Another daughter, 8 Wind (Rising Xolotl or Jewel Xolotl) is born.
[A Nova is born, looking like an expanding flower, but spitting out meteors, as star spears. As for 8 Wind, Caso is wrong in saying that this image is Xolotl, the dog. Instead it appears to be the fanged Nuhu emerging from the flowering star.]
The last child born here is 8 Vulture (Caso claims it should be 10 Vulture) whose other name is Xiuhcoatl-Flames.
[Here again is an assumption that although Caso "proved" it change through the Vindobonensis XIII-2, there might be a very different reason for the number 8 Vulture. As before stated, Xiuhcoatl is a returning serpent-comet in flames. which leads us to the last picture that I had chosen to discuss: the Sun-Xolotl dog.]
Caso calls him 10 Movement, or Coyote-Sun.
[I feel that he represents Xolotl, the false sun who sacrificed himself to save the true sun. And even with his sacrifice, the turmoil in the skies continues unabated.]
Caso identified 2 Water (Xiuhcoatl-Torch) who married 2 Vulture (Shining Ornaments of Flowers and Jade), daughter of 7 Grass (Bloody TIger) and 6 Rabbit (Sun Quechquemitl) from the town of Monkey. It is a second marriage for 2 Water.
[The burning comet returned again and enveloped the Nova (3-Flint) as the Quechquemitl seen streaking across the sky attached to a star as bright as the sun. The Monkey of the land, is found in the Nuttall, where the monkey is imprisoned under the mountain (N-7lb).]
A daughter named 12 Flower (Butterfly Entering a Hill) is born here. She married 13 Eagle (Bloody Coyote). His home town was called White Flowers (Flowers of Venus) and he was the son of 12 Movement (FIre Torch Stars) and 1 TIger (Rhomb Heaven)
[It seems here that "Flowers of Venus" may refer to the area of the
Milky Way where the Nova and the Three stars of the Summer Triangle are
located. The "butterfly" is some sort of a ghostly image, never defined even
in the Nuttall.[The image that comes to mind is Linda Schele's Casper
(the Ghost) glyph of Palenque.] Go to Register Two
