The YAD of the CHILDREN: I
Thirty years ago, after studying a bit of Hebrew and Arabic, I came across a YAD in the Encyclopedia Judaic, under the heading “Calendar”. Danny Matt, a Ph.D student, kind enough to translate the text found there for me. Specifically, it was coded. a very obvious code of some sort.
Having seven stair-step children of my own, I thought the cipher or code was very easy to understand, most especially when, I attempted to learn to write and read Hebrew, I made common mistakes that children tend to make as they learn to write the language of their parents.
The concept that I had determined from the YAD is that the children are the sole bearers of the information that is essential to the history of the Hebrew nation. The reason that this was so, was that when it became necessary to save this information, it was at a time, when the Inquisition was the strongest; both in the Old World and the New that was just becoming known to the general public.
Over the years, although I felt that I had broken the cipher, I did not feel qualified to present it to anyone, especially those whose language I had only tinkered with. As a result, I asked more than one scholar, (not always Hebrew) to decode the obvious cipher and came up with no answers whatsoever.
During the Middle Ages, the Church censorship had emerged for books printed on the new-fangled printing presses, but it was also prevalent in the monasteries where prisoners of the Church spent long arduous hours copying precious manuscripts, both before and after the advent of the noisy presses. Logic became a game of wits among the educated and those that lost the discussion usually died.
Later when Christopher Columbus notified the world that he had discovered the Americas (but not yet reached the mainland), the date he gave was October 12, 1492. A memorable date to be sure, but it was a strange date. Why would Columbus have “discovered” the Americas in the middle of hurricane season? Where else was that date important?
There was a famous pilgrimage site, that of Santiago de Compostela, but pilgrims would extend their travel almost 500 miles more (completely out of their way) to visit another location. It was the shrine of Our Lady of the Pillar (made of Jasper, a Muslim symbol for Paradise). Our Lady of the Pillar had another name, Our Lady of the Boat. Ostentatiously, it was the location where the boat of Santiago landed when his corpse reached Spain. All along the northern coast of Spain, the pilgrimage route, there were many inlets and bays where boats could acquire passengers surreptitiously..
Our Lady’s feast day was October 12. Apparently, Columbus wanted the European world to know that the Americas became off-limits to traveling pilgrims who had purchased death certificates prior to boarding ships to freedom.
With so many doors closing on the “heretic”/refugees, there was a need to write down what was important. Most of the manuscripts and books already contained elements of information according to Moses Maimonides’s general rule for subterfuge, but more people were dying and there was precious little time to teach others the information that had been verbally handed down the centuries until 1492.
Abraham Zacuto, a court astronomer, first for the Spanish king, then after 1492, for the Portuguese king. wrote a detailed almanac of the stars and the planets. In it, he added two items. One, was a list of longitudes and latitudes of the various cities known to the European world at that time. Most of these coordinates have since been found to be very wrong. Nevertheless, Zacuto was pleased that copies of this book was sent out around the world even to foreign nations.
The list of coordinates very specifically, hid Jerusalem, Damascus, Babylon, and Ankara from the eyes of man for eternity (or until the YAD would be deciphered) and sent two very clear messages to the heretical refugees. One, was to anyone living in Paris. They were to flee across the ocean to the west. And the second, was that Rome was going to destroy Moriah that was located in Greece. The whole of the Hebrew world, knew that Moriah was NOT in Greece, but the danger of their destruction if they would decide to flee to Greece was very real. The only recourse would have been to flee westward. And many did.
Alfonso X, El Sabio, as early as 1238 had received longitude and latitude coordinates from across the seas from travelers who had purchased death certificates. Those who fled using the bogus death certificates, indicated their destination by drawing or carving an up-ended horseshoe with a cross in the center. Even Alfonso’s Jewish wife Volante used this method to escape to calmer lands. Back in Spain, however, the two universities used by the scholars in Alfonso’s cartography school, were subsequently burned out by the Inquisition who want to destroy the institutions that dealt with necromancyy. The dead had written many letters found in the school archives which contained land coordinates and stellar information
